काफी समय पहले की बात है। एक व्यक्ति था। उसके पास एक सफेद कमीज़ थी। उसने उस कमीज़ को पहनना शुरू किया। धीरे धीरे उसको उस कमीज़ की आदत पड़ गयी। उसको लगने लगा की उस कमीज़ के बिना उसका काम ही नहीं चलेगा। समय गुज़रता गया। कमीज़ गन्दी होने लगी। इतनी गन्दी हो गयी की काली पड़ गयी। फिर भी आदमी ने सोचा, थोड़ा और समय दिया जाए इसको। मानसिक तौर पर वो व्यक्ति उस कमीज़ के अधीन हो गया था शायद। पर कमीज़ इतनी काली हो चली थी की अब उसका उपयोग संभव ना था। लोगों ने भी टिप्पणी करनी शुरू कर दी थी। कमीज़ का कालापन उस व्यक्ति के चरित्र पर भी सवालिया निशान उठाने लगा था।
एक दिन उस आदमी ने पूरा मन बनाया और उस गन्दी, काली कमीज़ को उतार कर एक नयी साफ़ सफ़ेद कमीज़ पहनी। उसके बाद वो उस गन्दी, काली कमीज़ को फेंकने निकल गया। यह देख के वो गन्दी, काली कमीज़ आँग बबूला हो उठी और उस सफ़ेद कमीज़ को कोसने लगी और बोली, 'आज तेरी वजह से मुझे यह आदमी फेंकने जा रहा है'। सफ़ेद कमीज़ ने शांति से जवाब दिया, 'नही दोस्त, ये तुम्हे मेरी वजह से फेंकने नहीं जा रहा। तुम इतनी गन्दी और काली हो गयी हो की तुम्हे निकल फेंकना इसकी मजबूरी हो गयी है। मुझसे जलो मत। अपने को साफ़ करो। कुछ इस व्यक्ति के भले के बारे में भी सोचो'।
वह व्यक्ति भारत है।
कमीज़ कौनसी कौन है, इसका अनुमान आप खुद लगा लें।
